FLORES LEMBATA KELIMUTU ECO TOUR
9 DAYS/8 NIGHTS
Day 01:MAUMERE – LARANTUKA
On the arrival at Waioti Airport, tour participants will be picked up by our tour guide and then will be transfer to Larantuka for dinner and relax.
Day 02: LARANTUKA – LEWOLEBA
After breakfast, at 07.00 in the morning, transfer to Larantuka harbor, depart to Lewo Leba (Lembata town centre) using motor boat. Travelling time about 4 hours. Arrive at Lewoleba, check in Lewo Leba hotel and have lunch. In the afternoon, visit Wai Jarang beach, swim and relax on the white sandy beach, enjoy sun set, return to hotel for dinner and rest.
Day 03: LEWO LEBA - LAMALERA
After breakfast at 08.00 we leave to Lamalera Village located on the south of Lembata Island, the only fishermen village that is still preserving traditional whale catching (sperm whale) using socio cultural religius. It is a long and tiring journey about 40 km a long village road, will take about 4 hours travelling time. On the way, we can stop and see a number of villages, interact with locals while observing their every day activities in the paddock, and enjoy beautiful panorama a long the way. Five km before Lamalera Village we will take a short trekking to enjoy waves a long Lamalera beach and Wulandoni Bay. Arrive at Lamalera, check in at guest house and have lunch. In the afternoon we can go around Lamarela Village A or B, interact and see villagers activities. Return to Guest house and have dinner.
Day 04: LAMALERA WHALING ADVENTURE
After breakfast, at 06.30 we walk to the beach where there are Peledang houses (Whaling boat), we can se Lamalera fishermen activities. Today we do fishing with fisherman, Peledang a long day, and be brave over the Southern Beach of Sawu Sea. Lunch will be served on the boat. If you are lucky, that day we can watch whale catching in the traditional way. In the afternoon we return to Guest house to rest and have dinner.
Day 05: LAMALERA - LEWOLEBA
After breakfast at 07.00 we do a slow walk a long the beach to once again see Lamalera fishermen activities. At 08.00 in the morning, we leave Lamalera to Lewoleba. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, at 15.00 we go to Waipukang beach for swimming and relax on the white sandy beach. Return to hotel in the afternoon for rest and dinner.
Day 06: LEWOLEBA – LARANTUKA – MAUMERE
After breakfast, at 07.30 transfer to harbor and then depart to Larantuka using motor boat for about 4 hours. On the way we can enjoy beautiful natural panorama a long Adonara Island and Solor Island. Arrive at Larantuka, have lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, resume our journey to Maumere, Just before evening we arrive at Maumere, check ini at Sea World Club Hotel to rest and have dinner.
Day 07: MAUMERE - MONI
After breakfast at the hotel, continue the journey to the west part of Flores, stop over on a number of tourist destinations such as NILO -– a Catholic holy site, BIKON BLEWUT Museum – miniature collection of heritage objects that origin from Nusa Tenggara Timur Province, and High Seminary St. Paulus as an education place that produce Catholic missionaries for the world. PAGA - a beautiful white sandy beach and a place for lunch. Arrive at Moni just before afternoon, to take a rest and have dinner.
Day 8: MONI – KELIMUTU - MAUMERE
Early morning at 04.00 depart to Kelimutu summit to see three colored lakes as one of spectacular world’s magical place. Before reaching the top, you need to stretch out your leg and walk along the foot path for about 1.5 km from parking areas. Soon as we arrive at the top of the mountain, you are going to see three lakes with different color, if the weather is clear, you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise. Due to its uniqueness, these lakes have an important value for the Lio tribe. It is a holy place for this tribe. As a resting place for people who die. Locals believe that each lake has a name and meaning, red colored lake is a place for evil spirit. Blue colored lake is a place for children and young people, while the white colored lake is a place for the spirits of people who died old. After enjoying the magical nature, we go back, and then do trekking along the local community’s estate and observe activities of the community, while understanding livelihood of Lio tribe and the surrounding areas. Lunch at Moni. In the afternoon, leave this village and depart to Maumere and stop over at Paga beach located on the south of Maumere, enjoying the natural beauty and take photographs of special moments a long the way. Dinner and rest at Sea World Club Hotel.
Day 9.MAUMERE – DENPASAR
After breakfast, transfer to Waioti Airport to continue travelling to other destination.
