FLORES KOMODO ECO TOUR
10 Days/09 Nights
Day 01: MAUMERE ARRIVAL – WATUBLAPI
On the arrival at Waioti Airport, tour participants will be picked up by our tour guide and then head off to Watublapi to enjoy local tradition and observe the process of making traditional woven fabric. Dinner and relax at Sea World Club Hotel.
Day 02: MAUMERE – MONI
After breakfast at the hotel, you will continue travelling to the west part of Flores and visits a number of tourist destinations such as NILO – a Catholic holy site, BIKON BLEWUT Museum – miniature collection of heritage objects that origin from Nusa Tenggara Timur Province, and High Seminary St. Paulus as an education place that produce Catholic missionaries for the world. PAGA - a beautiful white sandy beach and a place for lunch. Arrive at Moni just before afternoon, to take a rest and have dinner.
Day 03: MONI – KELIMUTU – ENDE
Early morning at 04.00 depart to Kelimutu summit to see three colored lakes as one of spectacular world’s magical place. Before reaching the top, you need to stretch out your leg and walk along the foot path for about 1.5 km from parking areas. Soon as we arrive at the top of the mountain, you are going to see three lakes with different color, if the weather is clear, you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise. Due to its uniqueness, these lakes have an important value for the Lio tribe. It is a holy place for this tribe. As a resting place for people who die. Locals believe that each lake has a name and meaning, red colored lake is a place for evil spirit. Blue colored lake is a place for children and young people, while the white colored lake is a place for the spirits of people who died old. After enjoying the magical nature, we go back, and then do trekking along the local community’s estate and observe activities of the community, while understanding livelihood of Lie tribe and the surrounding areas. Lunch at Moni. In the afternoon, depart to Ende to rest and have dinner.
Day 04: ENDE – RIUNG
After breakfast depart to Riung, a long the way we can see and enjoy the beauty of Ende Bay and take a short trekking including: PENGGAJAWA – see and observe activities of locals on collecting blue stone as local materials that will be exported from Flores, use as interior design such as swimming pools, bath room and others. Today we are going around North part of the beach from Nagekeo Regency and Ngada Regency that has the uniquely dry environment, but has amazing natural panorama, combine with underwater magnificence. Picnic lunch will be served during travel. We will arrive at Riung in the afternoon to have dinner and take a rest.
Day 05: RIUNG TOUR
Breakfast at the hotel. Afterward using motor boat, sail to Onto Loe Island to observe thousands of bat flying and hang on every limb and branch of mangroves trees. After that we continue sail to Rutong Island to do snorkeling and relax while enjoying white sandy beach. Picnic lunch will be served. After lunch, sail back to Riung to rest and have dinner.
Day 06: RIUNG – BAJAWA
After breakfast we depart to Bajawa and along the way we can witness a natural panorama, local’s rice paddock and natural hot springs. Mengeruda as a natural hydrotherapy place. Lunch at Bajawa. After lunch we can visit BENA – one of the largest traditional megalith community of Ngada ethnic, located on the foot of Inerie Mountaine. Dinner and rest at Bajawa.
Day 07: BAJAWA – RUTENG
Breakfast at the hotel and travel will be continued to RUTENG, a cool town located on 1.200 above sea level. During travelling we will do photographs stop to take picture of the pictureous natural panorama with Inerie Mountain of the background. Today we can also observe local community activities at AIMERE especially on traditional wine making process from palm trees. RANAMESE Lake – a lake surrounded by tropical forest and beautiful Mano rice paddock. Lunch on the way. Arrive at Ruteng in the afternoon to have dinner and rest.
Day 08: RUTENG – LABUAN BAJO – RINCA
Breakfast at the hotel. At 07.00 depart to Labuan Bajo and visits CARA Village – to see the magnificent rice paddock with formation imitating spider web ( LINGKO), as a prestige to Manggarai community that are still present, and even are still conserve from one generation to another. In the world, this is only in this region. Before noon, we will arrive at Labuan Bajo, straight away head off to the harbor to continue our journey using motor boat and sail to Rinca Island (2.5 hour), as one of home for rare fauna Komodo dragon, still in the region of Komodo National Park. Lunch will be served at the boat while sailing. Arrive at Loh Buaya, walk along to ranger house and enjoy trekking that is guided by Jagawana staff (national park ranger) to watch Komodo and other animal species such as buffalo, wild boar, deer, monkey and gosong bird which you will see along the trek of the valley, Dead River and dry land for about 2 hours.
Day 09: RINCA – KOMODO – LABUAN BAJO
At 04.00 O’Clock in the morning we sail to Komodo Island and as soon as we arrive at Loh liang you will be guided by national park ranger to take an 1 hour trekking to Banunggulung; an initial conservation place for Komodo dragon that become a predator in this Island, and you will have an opportunity to observe other animals that are part of your journey today.
After trekking you will go back to the boat and lunch will be served, then head off to Labuan Bajo, stop over at Bidadari beach for swimming and snorkeling.
Arrived at Labuan Bajo before noon, transfer to hotel for a rest and dinner.
Day 10: LABUAN BAJO - DENPASAR
Transfer to Komodo Airport to continue travel to other destination.
